Invisible Appliqué – 6 hrs
Let the machine do the work for you! Easily accomplish appliqué accurately and precisely using the blind-hand or zigzag stitch on your sewing machine. Using monofilament thread, the appliqué stitches are nearly invisible and replicate the appearance of hand appliqué stitched in a fraction of the time.
Students will construct an Iris block in class using appliqué foundation paper to prepare the templates. Tips and tricks for quilting appliqué motifs, working with a variety of fabrics and how to adjust thread tension will also be included.
